STEP 1

The first step to consider is the users that will use each department or building. Users could be organised into groups such as those shown below for example, or into groups according to department.

Each of the user groups identified is then allocated a Control Key.

STEP 3

Once you have your control keys setup the next step is to assess each door within the building in relation to which control keys require access. As you can see from the examples below, different Control Keys can be allocated access to different combinations of doors. It is recommended that keys that operate one lock are identified. These can be Special Rooms like cash rooms, medical records or exam rooms.
