Movember 2023 – Supporting Men’s Health and Wellbeing

In November, our team took part in a meaningful and impactful initiative: Movember. This global movement focuses on improving men’s health through fundraising and raising awareness for critical issues such as mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. We are thrilled to report that our collective efforts, including participation from Neil Furness, Garry Brooks, Neil Rule, Paul Crawford, and Clint Robertson, resulted in a successful fundraising campaign that raised £355 for Movember.

Why Movember Matters

Since its inception in 2003, Movember has made a significant impact by funding over 1,250 men’s health projects around the world. The organization challenges the status quo, pushing boundaries in men’s health research and transforming how health services reach and support men. The funds raised through Movember help tackle pressing health issues, including:

  • Mental Health and Suicide Prevention: Addressing the high rates of mental health challenges among men and working to reduce the alarming number of male suicides.
  • Prostate Cancer: Supporting research and initiatives to improve detection, treatment, and awareness of prostate cancer.
  • Testicular Cancer: Funding projects aimed at improving early detection, treatment, and support for those affected by testicular cancer.

Our Team’s Commitment

Our team’s involvement in Movember was a testament to our collective dedication to these crucial causes. Each participant, including Neil Furness, Garry Brooks, Neil Rule, Paul Crawford, and Clint Robertson, took part with enthusiasm and commitment. Whether through growing mustaches, participating in fundraising events, or spreading awareness, everyone contributed to the success of our campaign.

The Impact of Our Contribution

Raising £355 is not just a number; it represents real support for Movember’s mission. Each pound raised helps fund vital research and programs that can change lives. By participating in Movember, we have played a small but significant role in driving forward progress in men’s health and supporting those in need.

Moving Forward

As we reflect on our Movember efforts, we are inspired by the progress being made and the difference we can collectively achieve. Our team’s involvement is a reminder of the importance of coming together to support meaningful causes and to address issues that impact our communities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported our Movember campaign, whether through donations, spreading the word, or simply cheering us on. Your support helps drive forward the essential work of Movember and contributes to a future where men’s health issues receive the attention and resources they deserve.

Here’s to continuing our commitment to important causes and making a positive impact in the lives of many. Thank you for being part of our Movember journey and for supporting such a vital mission.

Keep the conversation going

Access2 Announces New Southern Sales Manager: Poppy Rule Steps In

Access2, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of advanced locking and security solutions, is proud to announce the appointment of Poppy Rule as Sales Manager for the South of England. Initially stepping into the role on a temporary basis to provide maternity cover, the opportunity arose for something more permanent, and Poppy is beginning to make her mark — building strong relationships with long-standing customers, securing new business opportunities, and bringing fresh energy to the region. Her performance, drive, and natural rapport with clients have earned her the permanent position. Poppy has grown up around locks and keys – spending many a summer job in the production team – and now brings that lifetime of exposure into a dynamic sales role that blends legacy knowledge with a modern approach. “We’re thrilled to officially welcome Poppy to the sales team,” said Clint Robertson, Sales Director of Access2. “She’s shown incredible initiative, connected brilliantly with our customers, and is already shaping our southern presence. I’ve seen Poppy grow up around the company so this is a proud moment for us all.” Poppy will be supporting customers across the southern territory, continuing to champion Access2’s trusted product lines including Tigris Premier4, mechatronic cylinders, digital access systems, and bespoke security solutions. “I’ve loved getting to know our customers over the past year,” said Poppy. “Access2 has always felt like home, and now I’m excited to grow our footprint across the South – bringing great service, solid relationships, and a few laughs along the way.” For media enquiries or to connect with Poppy directly, please contact:📧 sales@access2.com
