Our Unforgettable Annual Summer Party

This year, our annual summer party was a wonderful opportunity to gather and celebrate the accomplishments of our incredible team. With current and former colleagues in attendance, the event was filled with laughter, reminiscing, and a strong sense of camaraderie. Despite a few familiar faces being absent, the party was nothing short of unforgettable.

A Warm Welcome and Heartfelt Reunion

As colleagues old and new arrived, it was heartwarming to see the excitement and joy in everyone’s eyes. The reunion of former team members with current staff highlighted the enduring connections we’ve built over the years. The event served as a perfect reminder of the strong bonds and friendships that extend beyond the workplace.

Celebrating Our Successes

The summer party was not just about socializing; it was also a celebration of our collective achievements. From groundbreaking projects to reaching significant milestones, we had plenty of reasons to be proud. Our leaders took the opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of each team member, emphasizing how our collaborative efforts have driven the company forward.

Fun on the Quayside

Held on the picturesque Quayside, a Newcastle/Gateshead landmark, our summer party was a testament to our love for the local area. As a Newcastle-based business, we take pride in supporting local independent businesses. The event featured catering and entertainment from some of our favorite local vendors, adding a unique touch to the celebration. The beautiful riverside setting, combined with the vibrant atmosphere, made the day truly special.

Looking Forward

As the sun set and the party drew to a close, we were left with a renewed sense of unity and purpose. The annual summer party reminded us of the importance of coming together to celebrate our successes and the value of the relationships we’ve built. It’s these moments of connection and joy that fuel our passion and drive to continue achieving great things.

In conclusion, this year’s summer party was a testament to the strength and spirit of our team. While we missed a few familiar faces, the event was a beautiful reminder of what makes our company special: the people. Here’s to many more celebrations and continued success in the years to come! ☀️https://www.linkedin.com/posts/access2_we-recently-held-our-annual-summer-party-activity-7086681196696346625-UCE3?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop

Preparing School Locking Strategies for Martyn’s Law

Martyn’s Law, introduced to improve security in public spaces, is prompting schools and other organisations to re-evaluate their locking strategies. With safety under greater scrutiny, it’s important for facility managers and school administrators to understand the options available and ensure their buildings are prepared. Classroom vs Clutch Cylinders: What You Need to Know With the introduction of Martyn’s Law, building locking strategies—particularly in education and public spaces—are coming under greater scrutiny. One area often overlooked is the difference between Classroom and Clutch lock functions. In a barricade situation, a Clutch Cylinder allows a keyholder to override the internal thumbturn from outside, whilst still allowing the door to be locked from inside the room. This helps maintain control of the space while preventing unauthorised access. Traditionally, many educational buildings have used Classroom Function, but in certain situations a Clutch Function may provide a more appropriate solution. How Access2 Can Help At Access2, we can help convert Classroom cylinders to Clutch Function without affecting the existing master key system. This means schools can upgrade their locking strategy quickly and efficiently, ready for the next term or planned refurbishment. If you’d like to review your current setup or discuss options, feel free to get in touch with our team.
