Success at MLA Expo 2023

We are thrilled to share the success of our recent exhibition at the MLA Expo 2023, held from October 20th to 22nd. As Europe’s largest locksmith exhibition, the MLA Expo, organized by the Master Locksmiths Association, is regarded as the security event of the year for the locksmith and security industry. Our stand, positioned front and center, provided the perfect platform to launch our new Tedee smart lock collection.

A Front and Center Showcase

Being front and center at such a prestigious event allowed us to maximize our visibility and engagement. Our stand drew a significant amount of attention from both new and familiar faces, making it a hub of activity throughout the event. We were delighted to see the enthusiastic response from attendees, showcasing the growing interest and demand for advanced security solutions.

Launching the Tedee Smart Lock Collection

The highlight of our exhibition was the launch of the Tedee smart lock collection. This innovative range of smart locks represents the future of home and business security, combining cutting-edge technology with user-friendly design. One area often overlooked is the difference between Classroom and Clutch lock functions. In a barricade situation, a Clutch Cylinder allows a keyholder to override the internal thumbturn from outside, whilst still allowing the door to be locked from inside the room. This helps maintain control of the space while preventing unauthorised access. Traditionally, many educational buildings have used Classroom Function, but in certain situations a Clutch Function may provide a more appropriate solution. We are pleased to announce that Daniel Johnson has joined the Access2 sales team as Regional Sales Manager. Many of you may already know Dan, who brings with him a wealth of industry experience. He joins Access2 from Zoo Hardware Ltd, where he held several key roles over two periods, including Business Development & Customer Service Manager and Workshop/Master Keying Manager, totalling more than 12 years of service. Between his time at Zoo Hardware, Dan also spent nearly two years at Carlisle Brass Ltd, working as Cylinder Product Specialist and Cylinder Workshop Manager, further strengthening his technical expertise and customer-focused approach.
