ISO 9001 Audit Completed

At Access2, maintaining the highest standards is not just a goal; it’s an integral part of our culture and daily operations. Our commitment to quality is reflected in every aspect of our business, from our processes to our products. To ensure we meet and exceed industry expectations, we adhere to recognized standards, which is why we are proud to be ISO 9001 registered and hold the ISO Management Systems accreditation.

The ISO 9001 standard is an internationally recognized benchmark for quality management systems. It provides a framework for improving efficiency, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring that our processes are effective and consistent. Additionally, the ISO Management Systems accreditation further underscores our dedication to maintaining these high standards across all areas of our business.

Part of maintaining these accreditations involves undergoing periodic audits, a process we recently completed for our Management Systems. While audits can sometimes feel like a routine task, we view them as an opportunity for growth and improvement. These assessments are conducted by experts who provide valuable insights and feedback, helping us to refine our processes and ensure that we remain at the forefront of industry standards.

Successfully passing the audit is not just a point of pride for us but also serves as an independent verification of our commitment to quality. It reassures both our existing customers and potential future clients that we are upholding the highest standards in our operations. The audit results confirm that we are not only meeting but exceeding expectations, further solidifying our reputation as a leader in the industry.

We approach every audit with a positive mindset, recognizing it as a chance to learn and enhance our practices. This proactive attitude ensures that we continuously deliver top-notch products and services, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in everything we do.

Preparing School Locking Strategies for Martyn’s Law

Martyn’s Law, introduced to improve security in public spaces, is prompting schools and other organisations to re-evaluate their locking strategies. With safety under greater scrutiny, it’s important for facility managers and school administrators to understand the options available and ensure their buildings are prepared. Classroom vs Clutch Cylinders: What You Need to Know With the introduction of Martyn’s Law, building locking strategies—particularly in education and public spaces—are coming under greater scrutiny. One area often overlooked is the difference between Classroom and Clutch lock functions. In a barricade situation, a Clutch Cylinder allows a keyholder to override the internal thumbturn from outside, whilst still allowing the door to be locked from inside the room. This helps maintain control of the space while preventing unauthorised access. Traditionally, many educational buildings have used Classroom Function, but in certain situations a Clutch Function may provide a more appropriate solution. How Access2 Can Help At Access2, we can help convert Classroom cylinders to Clutch Function without affecting the existing master key system. This means schools can upgrade their locking strategy quickly and efficiently, ready for the next term or planned refurbishment. If you’d like to review your current setup or discuss options, feel free to get in touch with our team.
